Instead of a song this week,
I’d like to offer you something even quieter.
A breath.

We usually feel our lungs only at the front —
as a movement in the chest. A rise and a fall.

But the lungs are larger than our awareness of them.
They lie around us like soft wings —
to the front, to the sides, and all the way back towards the spine.
